Costume Norway has released a “Wild West” inspired Editorial
for September 2013. The modern-day western was heavily influenced by the
various trends of this upcoming season. The ensembles were perfectly executed
with layered prints and textures with bold silver and gold jewelry, oversized
felt hats, and variations of denim and outerwear. In terms of the makeup- fresh
dewy skin, wet and wavy hair, and soft smudged eyeliner complimented the style
beautifully. Floral prints were modernized in deep, contrasting colors, while
metallic hues made a statement in detailed blazers and loose trousers.
Button-downs were seen peeking out of knitted sweaters, vests, and silk
blouses. The most interesting part of the clothing was in fact the ability to
mix and match different prints, all the while creating a new, fresh look for
this Fall/Winter 2013. This upcoming season is all about breaking the rules.
While minimalism has made its way to many new collections, the unique patterns
and silhouettes of the clothing cannot go unnoticed. Whether you’ll opt for a
western-inspired look, rock-glam ensemble, or a clean and refined getup, Fall/Winter
2013 is all about going against the current.
