The French Casual-wear brand continues to impress with comfortable silhouettes and high quality apparel in color blocked hues and variations of stripes, with an addition to handbags.
American Vintage, the French label that was founded in 2006 by Michael Azulay and has been sold in Israel since the brand’s existence. Azulay had begun a pioneer in casual-wear although new trends emerge every season, he sticks close to the brand’s aesthetic. The concept revolves around staples for every woman’s wardrobe.
This season’s collection returned with basic pieces from men and women with a wide range of items: Tunics, Knit-Wear, Cardigans, Mini-Skirts, Sleeveless Sweaters, Hats, and Scarves, in a variation of colors. All the items make for perfect Fall and Winter wardrobe sans trends.
However, the 2013-14 winter season added printed fabrics which started a few seasons back, but this time in new and different styles. The graphic prints and solid make for warm weather necessities. The inspiration came from the world of painting and graphic art, printed in styles of watercolour creations ranging from blues to rainbow tones. In the winter collection, the use of zippers in unconventional placements on skirts, dresses, knits, and jackets became a prominent theme.
The monochromatic colors that appear each season were still present with the addition of champagne, whiskey, and cognac along with warm colors like mahogany, khaki, burgundy, bronze and silver metallics.
