The KM F/W 2013 campaign was created by October Sun's lead creative Viv Wilcock and the iconic renowned photographer David Bailey. Together, they focus on high profile creative personnel in British Fashion while creating a unique platform in order to propel future faces into the next stage of their careers.
The campaign features four distinctive women; Karlina Caune, Kirsi Pyhonen, Nur Hellmann and Grace Gao, while focusing on KM’s evolving style through a series of portraits. These images capture the diverse personalities of the four new faces that are on the brink of global success, each wearing statement pieces from the new Fall/Winter collection.
The creative concept for the campaign was stripped down allowing the garment and model to transform the exterior facade. Each of the looks was styled by fashion visionary, Katy England. The artistic and authentic processes used in both Karen Millen’s and David Bailey artistry creative journeys were fused together for the campaign. Karen Millen uses couture-inspired techniques within their collections, while Bailey is one of the few photographers who still shoots using film and withstands incredible ability to capture the beauty of the clothes and the essence of his subjects through memorable and evocative portraiture. The final result of the two masterminds enables the brand to execute their vision remarkably.
